I can’t believe it’s already September and I can finally share some fun Halloween activities you can enjoy with your kids. In this post, I’ll show you how to easily set up a Halloween Playdough Kit, perfect for toddlers or preschoolers.
My toddler and preschooler absolutely love Playdough! It’s something that keeps them busy for quite a while and I love that there are so many different ways to make this a fun activity. To make playdough extra fun, I’ve been putting together Playdought kits for the kids, that include some fun elements that they can use to get creative. I’ve created this playdough kit specifically for my toddler and preschooler, but feel free to make it age-appropriate for your own child.
This post is all about how to make a Halloween Playdough Kit for kids in a few easy steps.
How to make a Halloween Playdough Kit at Home
First up, we need to gather all of the supplies. If you are a big Halloween fan, I’m sure you have most of these things already on hand. If not, you can find really cute and cheap Halloween supplies at your local Dollar Store.
What you need:
- Playdough (Homemade or store-bought)
- Container/Bento Box
- Rolling Pin
- Halloween Cookie Cutters
- Googly Eyes
- Decorative Pumpkins
- Bugs/Spiders
- Halloween props
I’ve made the playdough myself because the kids love helping and it’s already a fun activity in itself. If you don’t have the time to make it from scratch, you can just buy it and add it to your container. My daughter’s favorite color at the moment is pink, so she insisted on making a batch of pink and black playdough. Choose whatever Halloweenish colors you would like.
I assembled the playdough, cookie cutters, Rolling Pins, eyes, and whatever Halloween props you have around the house in this Bento lunch box, but feel free to use whatever tubber ware or plastic bin you have on hand. I found the cutest Halloween props at my local Dollar Store and it cost me less than $10.
My kids got so creative and had a ton of fun with their Halloween Playdough kits.
Super easy and fun, isn’t it!? I hope your children will enjoy this easy and spooky Halloween Activity.
