Homemade Christmas Ornaments are my favorite things to hang on the tree, as it always reminds me of the time my kids made them. They are also a great DIY gift idea for family and friends. These Wooden Craft stars are fun and easy Ornaments to make with kids this holiday season.
When decorating the Christmas Tree each year, my kids love pulling old ornaments out of the box that they have made in school or at home when they were a little younger. Homemade Ornaments is their absolute favorite thing to hang on the tree each year, and mine too.
We make new Ornaments with the kids each year and also make enough to gift to the Grandparents. This year we decided to use Wood Craft Sticks and make glittery Stars to hang on the Christmas Tree. It has become such a sweet Christmas Tradition to make our own Ornaments each year and I hope this post inspires you to make some Ornaments with your kids as well. I’m sure they will love it.

Easy Ornaments to make with kids
Besides the wooden craft sticks, I used whatever we already had on hand to decorate these Wooden Star Ornaments.
What you need:
- Wooden Craft Sticks
- Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brush (we like sponge brushes)
- Glue
- Sequins, glitter, anything sparkly…
- String
Start off by painting the wooden craft sticks. Let them dry and then glue them together into a star form.
Once the glue has dried up, you can start by adding glitter, sequins, and other things onto the stars.
These are the glitters that we already had on hand and used for the stars.
Once the glitter and sequins are all dried up, turn the stars around and add some string. Let it dry again until it is ready to hang on to the Christmas Tree.
Wasn’t this such a fun and easy Ornament Craft?! My kids had a ton of fun making these glittery Christmas Ornaments.
