Creating valentines to exchange at school has always been a favorite tradition for my kids. They love gifting their friends something that they made at home and this year we decided to keep it simple and do applesauce pouches for my daughter’s Kindergarten and Pre-K Classes.
This is probably the easiest Class Valentine we’ve ever made. The best part is, it’s actually healthy, non-candy, and perfect for kids with allergies.

The Easiest (Non-Candy) Class Valentine
with Free Printable
There are not a lot of things you need for this. I’ve pretty much used whatever I already had at home, but I’m linking similar things down here. Target sells these special Valentine’s Applesauce Pouches, that you can only get this time around. In case you can’t get them, any applesauce pouch works just fine.
In case you don’t have a printer, the best place to get these printables printed is at staples. My suggestion is to print these tags out on white cardstock, they have that option available.
What you need:
First, you want to print out this free Class Valentine’s Printable. I highly recommend white cardstock, as it is much thicker and sturdier. I had cardstock at home and used my home printer. It came out looking just fine, but I’m sure if you can get it professionally printed (at Staples for example) it will come out looking even better.
Then cut it out into smaller pieces, and using the hole puncher make a hole into each of the tags.
Through the hole pull through some pink and sparkly yarn–both can be found at Michaels. Then tie the yarn around the base of the pouch top. That’s it, so easy!
If you don’t want to go through the trouble of printing Valentine’s Tags, you could even just put some ribbon or yarn around the base and fill out the white heart on the applesauce pouch with each kid’s name on it.
My Preschooler and Kindergartener both had a ton of fun making their Valentine’s classroom gifts and it was such an easy gift idea, that I’m sure your kids will enjoy making as well.
