The whole notion that “you only get 18 summers” with your kids is so compelling, and I always want to make sure we make the best of these few summer months. Whether you are looking forward to the extra time you’ll get with your kids or you are dreading having to try to keep the kids entertained each day, this amazing Summer Bucket List will help to find fun things to do.
We started making a summer bucket list last year, not because I like to schedule every hour of my kids’ downtime, but mostly because it is a great way to get the kids involved in making plans for fun family time.

The Ultimate Summer Bucket List
What is a Summer Bucket List?
A bucket list originally started as a list of things you want to do, or places you want to go before you die. The term bucket list comes from the phrase ‘to kick the bucket’ which means ‘to die’.
Over the years the term bucket list has evolved into a list of things you want to do. For instance, a Family Christmas Bucket List, a Spring Bucket List, or a list of things to do in your 20s are just a few fun lists people love to create.
What’s included on our summer bucket list?
My kids love being outdoors, trying new things, and going to new places.
Our summer will be filled with a lot of fun-at-home activities and outings to museums, parks, and playgrounds. We also included a mix of crafts, physical activities, and plenty of adventure.
