Looking for an easy and healthy homemade snack your kids can make for the fourth of July? This snack idea is fun to make and doesn’t require a ton of ingredients.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and I’m always looking for fun and healthy snack ideas my kids can help me make. This patriot snack idea is not just for special occasions, we actually enjoy it all summer long. Some people call it a Watermelon Pizza, but my kids call it Watermelon Cake. It’s a really refreshing treat, that is not just easy to make, but also pretty healthy. It requires very few ingredients and you can put as many toppings on as you would like.
This post is all about an easy and healthy snack idea for toddlers and kids.
Easy 4th of July Snack for kids
What you need:
- Watermelon
- Whipping Cream or Yoghurt (healthier option)
- Berries
- Chocolate Chips
- Any topping you would like to add (Nuts, coconut,…)
Once you’ve gathered all the toppings for the Watermelon Pizza, go ahead and slice the Watermelon into 2″ slices. My kids love to help me in the kitchen, so this snack is actually really easy for them to do. After the Watermelon is cut into slices, you can add the whipping cream or yogurt.
After the whipping cream is spread out, go ahead and add your favorite toppings! You can be creative and use whatever you have on hand.
There you go! Wasn’t that such a fun and easy snack idea? I hope you enjoy making it (and eating it of course)!
