With February just around the corner, it’s time to plan a cute Valentine’s Day Snack for the kids, that you can also bring as a classroom treat or pack into their lunch boxes.
Here is a fun little Valentine’s Day snack idea you can make for or with your kids. Either way, your kids will be excited to be eating Chocolate covered Pretzels with Valentine’s Day Sprinkles on them.
These cute little Valentine’s Day Pretzels are very easy to make and require very little bit of ingredients, three to be exact. You only need mini pretzels, chocolate chips, and sprinkles for decorating.
You can also add different topics like mini marshmallows or mini chocolate chips onto the chocolate-covered pretzels.

Valentine’s Day Snack for kids
What you need
- Mini Pretzels
- White Chocolate OR dark chocolate chips
- Valentine’s Day Sprinkles
- Any additional toppings you would like (Marshmallows, chocolate chips,…)
How to make Valentine’s pretzels?
Step 1: Line a baking tray with a baking sheet.
Step 2: Melt the chocolate chips in a small mixing bowl in the microwave for about a minute at half power. Stir the chocolate and then microwave in additional 30-second increments, still at half power, until the chocolate is totally smooth. If you want to get fancy, you can add a bit of pink food coloring to the white chocolate to make pink chocolate.
Step 3: Dip your mini pretzels into the melted white or dark chocolate. I like to just dip them halfway, so I can use my hands to dip them and it is less of a mess, especially if little ones are helping. Then lay the dipped pretzels on to the parchment paper and sprinkle the Valentine’s sprinkles or chocolate chips on top. Let them sit for a bit until they are completely dry.
